The 51% who identify themselves as male identified these 10 preferences:

What Women Want
Out of the total 3,307 survey respondents, almost half (49%) self-identified as female. According to their answers, these were the top housing features and home amenities that appealed to women most:

- Main bedroom with ensuite

Most survey respondents said that they would like their homes to be safe and comfortable places where people can gather. This includes backyard retreats with outdoor kitchens ordeck space, as well as fireplaces inside the home. These amenities show a desire for relaxing areas where people can spend time both indoors and outdoors.

Although men and women have various tastes, they did find some common ground when choosing their dream home. 2020 saw quite a bit of agreement between all age groups.
